Grants of $250 and in-kind donations of gardening supplies to USA and territories nonprofit organizations, schools, and youth programs for new or expanded gardening programs for children and youth. Funding is intended for programs to educate students about gardening and enhance the quality of life for youth and their communities.

20 programs will receive award packages valued at $775 that include:
- $250 cash prize from Kidsgardening
- A variety of gardening tools and supplies, including:
- Hand tool package from Corona
- One Touch Fan Nozzle from Dramm
- Tubtrug from Gardener’s Supply Company
- Paper Pot Press from Gardener’s Supply Company
- Five pairs of Thea Webbed Gardening Gloves from GardenFreak
- Seed Package from High Mowing Organic Seeds
- Organic fertilizer from Javacycle
- Big Bag Bed from Smart Pot
- Mobile Green Wall from Watex

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Any nonprofit organization, public or private school, or youth program in the United States or US Territories planning a new garden program or expanding an established one that serves at least 15 youth between the ages of 3 and 18 is eligible to apply.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications are due Monday, December 16, 2019. Winners will be announced and notified on Friday, January 31, 2020. Award packages will be mailed in February 2020.

Previous Youth Garden Grant winners who wish to reapply must wait one year after receiving the award and must prove that their garden programs have been significantly expanded.
