Applications are encouraged from first-time lyricists, composers, and book writers of all identities. The work must be unproduced and cannot have had a previous professional production or a current production commitment.

In-kind grants of products valued at up to $4,000 to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit and educational organizations to support animal habitat conservation research. Recipients will be provided with products and software licenses for equipment that assists in conservation research related to vocal wildlife, such as bats, birds, and frogs.

Grants of up to $250 and grants of up to $500 to Arkansas schools and clubs to promote the development of agricultural gardens. Funding is intended for new and ongoing projects that demonstrate the importance of agriculture in the day-to-day environment. The grant program seeks to promote the connection between agriculture, food, fiber, conservation, wildlife, and the urban environment. Gardens must contain crops such as corn, wheat, rice, soybeans, etc., and/or vegetables and fruits. Livestock projects are also acceptable, including bees.

Grants to USA anesthesiologists for research projects related to educational methods in anesthesiology. The purpose of the program is to advance the knowledge and careers of anesthesiologists who are focused on improving educational techniques and methods. The grant is focused on developing innovative approaches for anesthesia education.

Fellowships of $75,000 per year to USA physicians training in anesthesiology for research development. The purpose of the fellowship program is to provide fellows and residents with training in scientific methods and research techniques. Research areas include: basic science, clinical, translational, health services or education research.

Grants to USA early-career anesthesiologists for research projects. The purpose of the program is to provide physicians with opportunities to develop their skills as independent investigators. Research projects should focus on advancing patient care. Eligible research areas include basic science, clinical, translational, health services, and education research. The MRTG requires 75 percent protected nonclinical time for research.

Awards and scholarships to USA, Canada, and International physicians, medical students, residents, and fellows for research addressing neuromuscular diseases. Applicants are required to contact the funding source or submit an abstract before being chosen to apply for each award. Finalists will present their papers at the AANEM Annual Meeting.

Award to a USA poet to recognize exemplary translation of a book of Italian poetry into English. The purpose of the award is to honor exceptional work in the translation of modern, standard Italian poetry. Poets at any stage of their career are eligible to apply for this award.

Grant to a USA anesthesiologist to conduct research related to women and newborn babies. Funding is intended to provide mentored research experience for physicians who are earlier in their careers, while also advancing the body of knowledge available for obstetric and perinatal anesthesiology.

Grants to USA and Puerto Rico nonprofit organizations for initiatives addressing Latino culture and heritage. Funding is intended for programs in the following categories: capital projects, consulting services and training, project planning, and programming and interpretation. Nonprofits from across the continental U.S. and Puerto Rico are welcome to apply. While the program is open to all, it will place a special emphasis on organizations located in the Borderlands region, including Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah.

Grants of $400 to USA artists living with HIV to support their ongoing art creation. Applicants must become members of the funding source at least one month before applying. Funding is intended for the purchase of materials or to cover any other expenses that will allow the artists to continue with their work.
